Site Engineer (Civil)
Supervise civil and structural works on site, manage subcontractors, check setting out and quality, and report progress against programme. Degree in civil engineering plus five years' site experience in an industrial environment.
About the Role
The Site Engineer runs the civil and structural scope at the workface — setting out, quality, subcontractor supervision and daily progress against the programme.
You will work inside live industrial facilities in Jubail, where permit discipline and coordination with the client's operations team matter as much as the engineering itself.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise civil and structural works — excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concrete, structural steel and finishes
- Check setting out, levels and dimensional control against approved drawings
- Manage and direct subcontractors and Red Dune's own crews on daily activities
- Raise inspection requests, attend inspections and close out punch items
- Record daily progress, manpower, plant and delays, and report against the programme
- Ensure method statements and risk assessments are in place and actually followed
- Apply for and comply with permits to work in live operating areas
- Verify materials on delivery against specification and control site material usage
- Support the QA/QC team with ITP compliance and NCR close-out
Required Qualifications
- Education: bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience: minimum 5 years on site, at least 2 of them in an industrial or petrochemical environment
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration, or eligible to register
- Able to read and interpret civil, structural and shop drawings
- Good written and spoken English
- Transferable Iqama or Saudi national
Preferred / Desirable
- Experience inside Aramco or SABIC facilities
- AutoCAD and Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Shutdown or turnaround experience
- Valid Saudi driving licence
