Occupational Health Nurse
Provide clinical cover on construction and industrial sites, run health surveillance and heat stress programmes, and support emergency response. Valid SCFHS registration and current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
About the Role
The Occupational Health Nurse provides clinical cover on Red Dune's client sites — construction projects, industrial facilities and remote camps — running the site clinic day to day and responding when something goes wrong.
This is a role for a nurse who is comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, often as the senior clinical presence on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line clinical assessment and treatment at the site clinic
- Respond to site emergencies and stabilise casualties pending transfer
- Run heat stress prevention and monitoring programmes through the summer
- Carry out pre-employment and periodic medical screening
- Deliver health surveillance — audiometry, spirometry and vision screening as required
- Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment logs and controlled drug registers
- Manage clinic stock, equipment checks and consumables replenishment
- Support the client's HSE team with medical emergency response planning and drills
- Deliver toolbox talks on health topics relevant to the workforce
- Escalate and coordinate referrals to hospital where required
Required Qualifications
- Education: bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing
- Experience: minimum 3 years' post-registration clinical experience
- Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) registration
- Current BLS certification
- Good spoken English; Arabic an advantage
- Transferable Iqama or eligible for sponsorship
Preferred / Desirable
- Occupational health qualification or experience
- Current ACLS and/or PHTLS certification
- Previous site, offshore, remote or camp clinic experience
- Emergency department or ICU background
- Experience with audiometry and spirometry equipment
Skills & Competencies
- Calm and decisive in an emergency, often without immediate backup
- Confident working alone and making the call
- Approachable — workers must be willing to come to you early
- Meticulous with clinical documentation
