Course Overview
Everyone on a petrochemical site handles chemicals; far fewer can read a safety data sheet properly. These courses close that gap, moving from label and pictogram recognition through to full chemical risk assessment and spill response.
What You Will Be Able to Do
- Read and act on a GHS label and a 16-section safety data sheet
- Assess exposure routes and select correct PPE and RPE
- Store and segregate incompatible chemicals correctly
- Respond to a spill, splash or release with the right procedure
- Complete a COSHH-style chemical risk assessment
