Course Overview
Most risk assessments fail for the same reasons: hazards described too vaguely, controls that already exist recorded as new, and no link to the work actually being done. This course fixes all three, and every learner leaves having written an assessment for a real task from their own workplace.
What You Will Be Able to Do
- Distinguish clearly between hazard, risk and consequence
- Apply a five-step risk assessment method consistently
- Use a risk matrix without inflating or deflating scores
- Select controls using the hierarchy rather than defaulting to PPE
