Course Overview
Falls remain the leading cause of fatality on construction sites. This programme is taught largely off the ground: learners fit and inspect their own harnesses, connect to real anchors and carry out a suspended-casualty rescue before they pass.
What You Will Be Able to Do
- Apply the work-at-height hierarchy before selecting equipment
- Inspect, fit and adjust a full body harness correctly
- Calculate fall clearance and understand the swing fall hazard
- Select suitable anchor points and connecting devices
- Recognise suspension trauma and carry out a prompt rescue

- Work at height legislation and the control hierarchy
- Collective versus personal fall protection
- Harnesses, lanyards, energy absorbers and inspection
- Anchor points, lifelines and fall clearance calculation
- Ladders, MEWPs and mobile access equipment
- Roof work, fragile surfaces and edge protection
- Suspension trauma and rescue planning
- Practical rescue exercises on the training tower
